This collection consists of the newletters of the 94th Bomb Group Memorial Association and the manuscript for Willis Jarrel's Bombs Away: England to Berlin. The 94th Bomb Group was one of many United States Army Air Force bomb groups assigned to England during World War II. The Memorial association was formed in 1975 by survivors of the 94th Bomb Group. The newsletters cover the period from December, 1975 through September, 1991. The collection was donated by Willis Jarrel, Sr. who was a member of the 94th Bomb Group and flew B-17 Bombers. During his period of service witht he 94th Bomb Group from October, 1943 through May, 1944, Mr. Jarrel flew twenty-five missions and was awarded the European Theater Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Mr. Jarrel currently resides in Tyler where he is a practicing attorney.
