Biographical or Historical Information
The Women's Association was created in 1973 by the wives and women of Tyler State College. The purpose of the Women's Association was to form social contacts, promote fellowship among members of the Association and the College, and to provide assistance to the College and community as opportunities allowed. The Women's Association formed interest groups such as Gourmet Cooking, Golf, Bridge, Literary, and Community Service. The Association held monthly meetings and often published newsletters informing members of their activities and community efforts.
