Scope and Contents
The collection includes the meeting records of the Board of Regents of Tyler State College (1971-1975), Texas Eastern University (1975-1979), and The University of Texas at Tyler (1979-Present). The University changed names before becoming part of the UT System in 1979. Collection includes meeting minutes and agendas, correspondence, administrative notes, and audio cassettes of meetings (1973-1979). Records are primarily from the Office of the President during the administrations of James H. Stewart, George F. Hamm, and Rodney H. Mabry. Collection contains materials from nearly every Board of Regents meeting, but there are significant gaps in the years 2001-2005.
